Across the financial services industry there has been an increase in fraudulent payment requests, where client email accounts have been compromised and taken over by fraudsters. Having taken control, fraudsters will attempt to change the client bank details held by investment providers, before requesting large withdrawals from their investments into the fraudulent bank account.

Should we receive such a request via email, we will always contact you directly to confirm that the instruction is genuine. This will be on a registered/known phone number, or face to face. We may also consider additional verification related checks/questions that only a genuine client is likely to know if there is any further doubt.
