Free Wills in October and November

October is Free Wills Month for areas excluding London and Scotland (these areas will likely be participating in the next Free Wills Month which will be March 2024). If you are 55 and over you can get a new (or updated) will drafted by a solicitor for free this month. This is done in the hope that you might choose to leave some of your money to one of Free Wills Month’s 19 partner charities, which include Age UK and the British Heart Foundation - this could be as small or as large an amount as you would like. You can book appointments now at: https://freewillsmonth.org.uk/.

In November, anyone over the age of 18 can get a will drafted with Will Aid. Every November, participating solicitors volunteer their time and waive their fee for writing a basic Will. Instead of charging for this service, clients are invited to make a voluntary donation to Will Aid (again as small or as large amount as you would like). Will Aid donations support the work of its partner charities which include the NSPCC and the British Red Cross. You can book appointments now at: https://www.willaid.org.uk/.
